How can I pay for

Wellness Coaching?

Wellness Coaching is currently categorized as preventative Health Care, so standard health insurance is currently not accepted. We are advocating for this in Washington, and hope to be able to offer this soon. In the meantime, I offer several ways to make coaching affordable for folks who are looking for support!

Sliding Scale Payments

I offer income based payment options for individuals earning under $50,000 per year. To qualify, you’ll need to fill out a form for review.

To request a form, please email me.

Note: The lowest available rate is $60 per 1 hour session

Monthly Payment Plans

Payment plans are available for individuals who sign up for 3 months or more in advance, via autopay. To enroll, you would first have a consultation, then I would send you an authorization form to sign off on.

FSA Payments

You may pay for coaching with your FSA if your doctor is willing to submit our paid sessions through their medical office. The American Medical Association (AMA) recently announced the approval of three distinct CPT codes specifically for “Health and Well-Being Coaching.”

Some FSA accounts may start reimbursing their clients for these charges. I do recommend calling your FSA provider beforehand to see if this is possible for you, since this varies based on the FSA company you have.

*May be used in conjunction with sliding scale payments. Not available for career or couple’s coaching, due to FSA restrictions.

HSA Card Payments

To pay for health coaching using your HSA card, you’ll first need to confirm with your employer that health and wellness coaching is an approved service. Once we verify that it is approved, you can use your HSA debit card to pay for your coaching sessions.

*May be used in conjunction with sliding scale payments. Not available for career or couple’s coaching due to HSA restrictions.

When will Wellness Coaching be approved by standard insurance?

Regarding where we are now in advocacy, the United States Senate now officially recognizes Health and Wellness Coaches

“in their important work to improve the health and wellness of the people of the United States.” via Senate Resolution number 67 (S. Res. 67).
